Rusty's Soft Secret
Lily was a very observant girl who loved making new friends. One sunny afternoon, she noticed her best friend Rusty looked a little bit lonely. Rusty was a friendly, rectangular robot made of shiny silver metal with blue glowing eyes and small wheels instead of feet. He was great at fixing toys, but he did not know how to be cozy or warm. Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, decided it was time for a special lesson in comfort.
Scene: A sun-drenched bedroom in soft watercolor style. Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, is sitting on a colorful rug. She is looking at Rusty, a friendly, rectangular robot made of shiny silver metal with blue glowing eyes and small wheels instead of feet. Lily looks curious and kind while Rusty looks slightly stiff.
Lily brought her favorite pet into the room to help. This is my kitten, Mittens, and she is an expert at being happy, Lily explained. Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, showed the robot how the kitten curled into a soft ball. Rusty, a friendly, rectangular robot made of shiny silver metal with blue glowing eyes and small wheels instead of feet, watched closely with his bright blue eyes. He tried to bend his metal body, but he was very stiff and clanky.
Scene: In a cozy playroom, Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, is holding a small, fluffy orange kitten named Mittens. Lily is showing the kitten to Rusty, a friendly, rectangular robot made of shiny silver metal with blue glowing eyes and small wheels instead of feet. The scene is painted in delicate, watery textures.
When Mittens is happy, she makes a beautiful sound called a purr, Lily said. She encouraged Rusty to try making a happy sound too. Rusty, a friendly, rectangular robot made of shiny silver metal with blue glowing eyes and small wheels instead of feet, started his internal motor. Suddenly, the whole room began to shake with a loud BRRRRRR! Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, giggled and covered her ears because the robot sounded like a big, noisy lawnmower.
Scene: A funny scene where Rusty, a friendly, rectangular robot made of shiny silver metal with blue glowing eyes and small wheels instead of feet, is vibrating so hard that his metal plates are rattling. Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, is laughing with her hands over her ears. Watercolor splashes show the energy of the vibration.
You have to be very quiet and think about soft things, Lily whispered softly. Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, wrapped a fuzzy yellow blanket around the robot's metal shoulders. She told him to imagine warm sunshine and sweet dreams. Rusty, a friendly, rectangular robot made of shiny silver metal with blue glowing eyes and small wheels instead of feet, slowed down his gears. He began to feel a very gentle hum deep inside his chest that felt like a tiny bumblebee.
Scene: Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, is gently wrapping a soft, fuzzy yellow blanket around Rusty, a friendly, rectangular robot made of shiny silver metal with blue glowing eyes and small wheels instead of feet. The lighting is warm and golden in a soft watercolor wash.
The hum grew softer and steadier until it sounded just like a kitten's purr. Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, smiled because she knew her friend had learned the secret of being cozy. Rusty, a friendly, rectangular robot made of shiny silver metal with blue glowing eyes and small wheels instead of feet, felt very peaceful and happy. Soon, Lily and Mittens curled up against the warm, humming robot for a long, wonderful nap together.
Scene: A peaceful final scene in watercolor. Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, is fast asleep leaning against Rusty, a friendly, rectangular robot made of shiny silver metal with blue glowing eyes and small wheels instead of feet. The orange kitten Mittens is curled up on top of Rusty. Tiny, soft musical notes float in the air.
