Oliver and the Rainbow Thief
Oliver was playing in his sunny garden when a magnificent rainbow appeared after a light spring rain. Suddenly, a tiny blur of brown fur swung down from the tallest oak tree! It was Momo, a silly monkey who thought the rainbow looked like delicious magic candy. Before Oliver could say a word, Momo reached up and scooped the red and orange stripes right out of the sky. Oliver watched in surprise as the colors vanished into Momo's small burlap sack.

The sky began to look very grey and lonely without its bright colors.

Oliver sat down on a mossy rock and asked Momo why he wanted the rainbow so badly. Momo looked sad and explained that his home was too brown and he wanted it to be the brightest house in the forest. Oliver realized that Momo wasn't being mean, just a little bit lonely for some color.

Oliver and Momo worked together to mash the berries into paint and decorate the wooden walls of the treehouse. They painted big swirls and happy suns until the house glowed with every color of the forest. Momo was so happy with his new home that he realized he didn't need the sky's rainbow anymore.

Oliver and Momo sat on the treehouse porch, eating sweet bananas and watching the sunset. Oliver promised to visit every week to bring more colorful treasures to his new friend. The jungle felt much brighter now that the rainbow was home and a new friendship had started.
