Lily and the Kingdom in the Clouds
One sunny afternoon, Lily went to the grassy hill to fly her favorite rainbow kite. The wind was whispering secrets, and the air felt crisp and cool. Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, watched as her kite danced higher and higher. It looked like a colorful bird soaring through the bright blue sky. Suddenly, a very strong gust of wind pulled the string tight and zipped the kite high above the trees.
Professor Hoot Says:
"Clouds are actually made of millions of tiny water droplets or ice crystals."

She wasn't scared; she was curious and excited to see where the wind was taking her. She floated through the misty air, feeling as light as a feather. When Lily finally reached the top of the cloud, everything looked like a fluffy, white dream.

Scene: Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, holds onto a glowing string. The string leads into a huge, fluffy white cloud that looks like a marshmallow. Lily is floating slightly off the ground in the blue sky, looking surprised and happy.
Lily stepped onto the cloud and found that it felt like a giant, bouncy trampoline. A tiny, fluffy blue bird with a bright yellow beak named Pip fluttered over to greet her. Pip chirped a happy tune and told Lily that she had discovered the Secret Sky Kingdom. The trees here were made of soft cotton candy, and the rivers were filled with sparkling starlight. Lily smiled at Pip and asked if Pip had seen a missing rainbow kite.
Professor Hoot Says:
"The fluffiest-looking clouds are called Cumulus clouds and they often mean fair weather."
Scene: In a kingdom made of soft clouds, Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, stands on a bouncy cloud floor. Lily is talking to Pip, a tiny, fluffy blue bird with a bright yellow beak. Pip is perched on a cloud-bush under a soft purple sky.
Pip led Lily to the middle of the kingdom, where the magnificent Cloud King lived. The Cloud King was a giant, round puff of white mist with sparkly gold eyes and a crown made of shimmering raindrops. Lily saw her kite immediately; it was tangled right in the middle of the Cloud King's beautiful raindrop crown! The Cloud King looked a bit grumpy because the kite was tickling his nose. Pip whispered to Lily that they should be very gentle and helpful.
Professor Hoot Says:
"Rainbows are formed when sunlight shines through raindrops at just the right angle."
Scene: Lily, a thoughtful child with tan skin and straight black hair, and Pip, a tiny, fluffy blue bird with a bright yellow beak, look up at the Cloud King. The Cloud King is a giant, round puff of white mist with sparkly gold eyes and a crown made of shimmering raindrops. Lily's rainbow kite is tangled in the Cloud King's raindrop crown.
Lily stepped forward and used her small, careful hands to gently untangle the rainbow kite. The Cloud King let out a big sigh of relief that sounded like soft, happy thunder. He was so pleased that he gave Lily a special ribbon made of moonlight to tie to her kite string. Lily thanked the Cloud King and Pip, then Lily used her kite to glide slowly back down to the grassy hill. It was the most wonderful adventure Lily had ever had!
