Leo and the Sun-Chaser Seed
One bright morning, Leo found a tiny, fuzzy seed resting on a mossy stone in the garden. The seed’s name was Sunny, and he had a very big dream for such a small fellow. 'I want to touch the golden sun!' Sunny whispered to Leo with a tiny sigh. Leo smiled and promised to help his new little friend reach the high, blue sky. They found a perfect spot where the soil was soft, dark, and very warm.
Scene: A soft watercolor garden scene. Leo, a happy, playful kid with brown skin and curly black hair, is kneeling on the green grass. Leo is holding Sunny, a tiny, fuzzy green seed with a friendly face and two small leaf-like arms who eventually grows into a tall, bright yellow sunflower with a smiling center.
Leo carefully tucked Sunny into the dark, cozy earth and gave him a gentle pat. Every single day, Leo brought a shiny red watering can to give Sunny a cool, refreshing drink. 'Grow big and strong, Sunny!' Leo cheered while he pulled away the prickly weeds. Deep underground, Sunny felt the warm soil hugging him and began to grow tiny, adventurous white roots. He was starting his long journey toward the bright, yellow sun.

After a few weeks, a bright green sprout popped out of the ground with a happy wiggle! Leo clapped his hands with joy as Sunny stretched his brand new, velvety leaves. But the sun still looked very far away in the giant blue sky above. 'Don't worry,' Leo said in a kind voice, 'you are doing a wonderful job of growing.' Sunny felt brave and reached higher, turning his little green face toward the warm light every morning.

Suddenly, dark clouds gathered and a loud, wet storm began to blow through the trees. The wind was very strong, and the heavy rain made Sunny lean over toward the muddy ground. Leo ran outside quickly and used his hands to shield the little plant from the splashing, cold drops. 'I won't let the grumpy wind hurt you, Sunny!' Leo shouted over the rumbling thunder. Together, they stayed very brave until the grey clouds finally drifted away.

The sun came out even brighter than before, and Sunny grew taller than Leo's own head! Soon, a beautiful, brilliant yellow flower bloomed at the very top of the stalk. Sunny was now a giant, magnificent sunflower, and he felt the sun's warm rays tickling his golden petals. Leo reached up and gave his tall friend a gentle high-five on a leaf. Sunny had finally reached his dream, and Leo was the proudest gardener in the whole world.
