Hoot-hoot! Strap on your goggles! We have landed in the Middle Ages. Look at that giant building made of stone! That is a castle. It isn't just a house for a King; it is a super-strong fortress built to keep everyone inside safe and sound.
Professor Hoot Says:
"Did You Know? Castle walls were often ten feet thick to keep people safe!"

Clang! Clang! Do you hear that? We have arrived at the Great Tournament! Knights are everywhere, wearing suits made of shiny metal called armor. They are getting ready for games to show how fast and strong they are on their horses.
Professor Hoot Says:
"Did You Know? A full suit of armor was so heavy it was like carrying a giant pile of books!"
Scene: A sunny field with colorful tents and knights in silver armor riding horses. Professor Hoot is perched on a wooden fence watching the scene.
Knights had a very important job. They weren't just there for the games! A knight’s duty was to be a brave helper. They promised to protect the land and keep the people who lived near the castle away from any danger.
Professor Hoot Says:
"Did You Know? Knights had a special code called Chivalry, which meant they had to be brave and kind."
Scene: A friendly knight in armor kneeling down to help a village child, while Professor Hoot nods approvingly from a nearby tree branch.
Let’s look at the castle again. See the deep water around it? That is a moat! Castles had high towers so guards could see for miles and big gates that could be locked tight. It was the safest place in the whole kingdom.
